Job summary

Resourcing Group in the United Kingdom is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician to join a global heavy plant manufacturing company. The role covers reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance, and involvement in installations and improvement projects on a range of conveyors, robotics, and motors.

Working on a 4 on 4 off days shift, you will diagnose faults, work with VSD drives and PLCs (Siemens), and help keep production lines running.

Qualifications

• Completed a recognised Electrical Apprenticeship or Level 3+ qualification.
• Experience in reactive and PPM electrical maintenance in industrial/heavy manufacturing.
• PLC fault finding and some PLC programming experience useful, VSD drives advantageous.
• Siemens PLC experience highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support heavy equipment and machinery including conveyors, robotics and mixers.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance and participate in improvement projects.
• Provide reactive maintenance and quickly restore production lines.
• Work with VSD drives and PLCs to diagnose and fix faults.

Role: Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician

Salary: £46,000 - £56,000 per annum, (dependant on experience) plus overtime and additional benefits

Hours: 4 on 4 off (Days)

Location: Commutable from Howden, Hull, Selby, Goole, Doncaster, Brough, York, Market Weighton, Driffield, Knottingley and surrounding areas

The site prides themselves on being self-sufficient, not relying on outside contractors for most projects, so the maintenance teams get fully involved in most of the full Lifecyle of work. They also provide training and up-skilling where required ie. FANUC Robotics and programming or PLCs - both fault finding and programming, although ideally you will have some of these advanced skills already.

This is a Shift based role - 4 on 4 off (days) and would ideally suit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer / Maintenance Electrician with a background in an industrial or heavy manufacturing environment - the ability to work effectively within a skilled team is essential!

Responsibilities

• Supporting a wide range of heavy equipment and machinery including conveyors, mixing and robotics machinery.
• Working through a planned preventative maintenance program as well as project and continuous improvement work.
• Providing reactive maintenance, attending to and resolving breakdowns swiftly and getting production lines back up and running again.
• Dealing with VSD Drives and PLCs.

Requirements

• The Engineer will need to have completed a recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship or hold Electrical Engineering qualifications at Level 3 or above.
• Are experienced in performing reactive & PPM Electrical maintenance work within an industrial and/or heavy manufacturing environment.
• Will have experience of PLC Fault Finding, PLC programming skills are useful, additionally experience with VSD Drives is beneficial.
• Siemens PLC experience extremely desirable
• Can diagnose and repair Electrical Motors and Pneumatics.
• Are open to & willing to learn and develop your skills further, together with sharing your knowledge and experience with the team.
• A friendly, proactive and adaptable attitude to work is essential.
• Good knowledge of and strict adherence to Health & Safety.
