Job summary
Shillito Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer in the United Kingdom. The role covers fault finding, maintenance and improvement of industrial electrical systems, with some mechanical tasks.
The position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (6am-6pm and 6pm-6am) to support continuous production. You will work with motors, drives, sensors and control panels, perform planned maintenance, and assist with installation and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Time-served apprenticeship in Electrical Installation, Electrical Maintenance, Engineering Maintenance, or a related engineering discipline.
- Electrical qualification to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
- Strong practical electrical fault-finding skills.
- Experience working with industrial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and circuit drawings.
Responsibilities
- Electrical fault finding on production machinery and control systems
- Maintenance of electrical equipment including motors, drives, sensors and control panels
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnosing breakdowns and restoring equipment safely and efficiently
- Working with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems
- Supporting electrical upgrades and improvement projects
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Liaising with specialist contractors and suppliers when required

An excellent opportunity for a motivated Electrical Maintenance Engineer. You will be responsible for electrical fault finding, maintenance, and improvement of industrial systems. There will also be some mechanical maintenance involved with this role.
Hours: 4 on 4 off. Rotational days and nights, 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am
- Electrical fault finding on production machinery and control systems
- Maintenance of electrical equipment including motors, drives, sensors and control panels
- Supporting planned preventative maintenance activities
- Diagnosing breakdowns and restoring equipment safely and efficiently
- Working with PLC-controlled equipment and industrial automation systems
