Job summary

CBW Staffing Solutions seeks a site-based Maintenance Electrician in Sheffield to maintain and repair electrical systems within a facilities management environment. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and lead safety-compliant electrical work on site.

The role requires City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation and experience in commercial settings. Core hours are Mon-Fri with on-call rotations and overtime opportunities; generous leave and pension are provided.

Qualifications

  • Qualified to City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
  • Proven maintenance electrician experience in facilities management or similar environments.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimise downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Troubleshoot electrical faults and implement effective solutions to restore functionality.
  • Install, repair, and maintain wiring, circuit breakers, and lighting fixtures.
  • Collaborate with maintenance staff and contractors to coordinate repairs and upgrades.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a secure workplace.

Site based Maintenance Electrician - Sheffield - National Facilities Management Organisation: Hospitality & Public Sector

CBW Staffing Solutions are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our client on a permanent basis, who are a leading provider in facilities management solutions, delivering top-tier services across public sector and hospitality industries.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance within commercial settings, as they will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems and equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety.

This is a site based opportunity, located in Sheffield City Centre, South Yorkshire - free parking is available on site.

Please note: The successful candidate must be open to occasional evening and weekend work as overtime or TOIL when required.

Package
  • Competitive salary up to£40,000 per annum (depending on experience)
  • Core hours are Monday - Friday (40 hours per week)
  • Participation in an ‘out of hours’ on call rota (to be confirmed)

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Qualified to at least City & Guilds Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician or similar role within the facilities management industry
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
  • Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing electrical faults
  • Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and blueprints
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities
