Job summary

Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd. in Guildford seeks a Project Manager (Electrical Focus) for a 6-month on-site contract to lead the imager electronics development, from design through qualification, with emphasis on schedule, cost and quality.

You will manage cross-disciplinary teams, drive risk management, and ensure effective stakeholder communication, delivering against ambitious programme milestones in a demanding space environment.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in satellite programmes, preferably with electrical modules/subsystems.
• Familiarity with work package management in a matrix organisation is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of the imager electronics to internal customers, aligned with programme objectives.
• Take full responsibility for project delivery per SSTL processes: scheduling, risk management and technical maturity reviews.
• Provide day-to-day leadership of the project core team with clear direction and motivation.
• Define and structure work into work packages, securing resources and delivery plans.
• Maintain communication with Engineering Managers and Heads of Engineering.
• Manage project risks with measurable mitigation actions within the work package structure.
• Monitor and control finances, including contingency management and cost-to-complete forecasting.
