Job summary

EMCOR UK is seeking a mobile Electrical Supervisor to cover Somerset. You will lead on-site electrical installations, manage RAMS, and coordinate with customers and suppliers. The role requires driving, UK travel, and a focus on safety and quality.

The position offers a permanent contract, a salary up to £48,000 plus overtime, travel time, and a company van, with standard hours Monday to Friday 08:00–17:00 and a field-based work pattern.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds 2360 Part 1 & 2 or equivalent NVQ & C&G 2382 – 18th Edition, minimum requirements
• C&G 2391-10 Inspection & Testing
• Experience of commercial electrical installations
• Experience of installation of LV distribution systems
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
• UK travel may be required
• Management of an on-site team essential
• Ability to conduct daily briefings and actively ensure SORs & drawings are followed

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the EMCOR UK Projects team through effective communication, training and development, ensuring that staff members are fully competent and trained to undertake key tasks.
• Support the PM with electrical installation and ensure the SOR and associated drawings are followed.
• Develop RAMS for the work to be carried out.
• Work with the PM to capture all extra works and assist in the production of additional SORs for variations as requested.
• Develop partnerships with suppliers to achieve maximum mutual benefit and rationalise the supplier database.
• Identify any shortfalls in training with the operatives and work with the administration teams to ensure these gaps are closed.
• Maintain day‑to‑day contact with the customer’s representatives and attend meetings as directed by the PM.
• Become a NICEIC Electrical qualifying supervisor and work with the Company NICEIC qualifying manager to ensure documents are completed and issued correctly.

What You’ll Do

• C&G 2391‑20 Design & Verification preferred (or an equivalent will be provided)
• Experience of commercial electrical installations
• Experience of installation of LV distribution systems
• Experience of DC / UPS system advantageous but not essential
• Experience of safe working practices and permit to work systems
• First Aid, IPAF and PASMA training provided if required but advantageous if already certified
• Management of an on‑site team essential
• Ability to conduct daily briefings and actively ensure SORs & drawings are followed
• UK travel may be required
• Must hold a valid UK driving licence
