ITS (Bristol) Ltd in Bridgwater is seeking a Shift Engineer with an electrical bias to maintain production machinery and equipment. You will perform planned maintenance, diagnose faults and respond to breakdowns to keep downtime to a minimum.

The role requires a recognised electrical qualification and strong fault-finding skills, with experience in a manufacturing setting. You will work a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern and be paid for full 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical engineering qualification required (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
• Experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Knowledge of industrial machinery, motors, drives, sensors and control systems.

Responsabilités

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and related equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns across the factory.
• Perform electrical fault-finding, repairs and component replacements.
• Support mechanical maintenance activities as needed.
• Identify recurring faults and suggest improvements to equipment reliability.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with health and safety procedures and site standards.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and communicate issues during handovers.
• Collaborate with production teams to maximise equipment availability.
