Job summary

Mears Group is seeking an Electrical Qualified Supervisor based in Evesham to oversee contract delivery for housing repairs and maintenance across the Midlands. You will lead electrical works, manage operatives and subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality on site.

The role requires 18th Edition, NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installation, AM2, and City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent, plus a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

  • 18th Edition Qualification and electrical installation experience.
  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Electrical Installation with relevant certifications.
  • AM2 Certification and testing/inspection qualifications.
  • Experience in housing/maintenance electrical work and full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee delivery of electrical works on planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and quality standards.
  • Supervise operatives and subcontractors; manage resources and scheduling.
  • Produce operational reports and support training and development.

Contract Type:Full-time, Permanent, 42.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday

Mears Group is delivering a long-term social housing repairs and maintenance partnership across the wider Midlands region.

Providing housing repairs and maintenance services across a geographically diverse social housing portfolio covering market towns, rural communities and urban locations, the contract includes responsive repairs, planned maintenance and property services, with a strong focus on customer service, quality and community investment.

Due to continued growth across the contract, opportunities are available for experienced Electrical Qualified Supervisors across South Worcestershire, North Gloucestershire, and surrounding areas.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee contract delivery, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, internal procedures, and quality standards. Working closely with the client, you will provide electrical support and technical advice where required.

The role includes managing MCM job scheduling, supervising operatives and subcontractors, and carrying out regular site visits to ensure works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the required standard.

You will also compile operational reports, support employee development through coaching and training, maintain company assets, and uphold high standards of customer service and professionalism.

Role Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of electrical works across planned and reactive maintenance contracts
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures, health and safety regulations, and quality standards
  • Supervise a team of operatives and manage subcontractors asrequired
  • Monitor work progress through regular site visits, ensuringtimelycompletion andhigh standards
  • Manage MCM job scheduling and ensureaccurateallocation of resources
  • Ensure all electrical meters and equipment are calibrated and maintained
  • Provide electrical support and technical advice to clients and internal teams
  • Compile operational reports and contribute to performance reviews and audits
  • Uphold company values andmaintaina strong focus on customer satisfaction
  • Support employee development through coaching, mentoring, and training
  • Manage company assets including vehicles, tools, PPE, and van stock
  • Attend client meetings, toolbox talks, and internal training sessions
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to ensure smooth contract delivery
  • Ensure all workcomplies withrelevant legislation and industry standards
  • Maintainaccuraterecords of inspections, certifications, and completed works
  • Respond to emergency callouts and support out-of-hours service delivery
Key Criteria
  • 18th Edition Qualification
  • NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Electrical Installation
  • AM2 Certification
  • Test and Inspection qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience in electrical work within housing or maintenance environments
  • Full UK driving licence
