Job summary

JAM Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Project Manager to lead electrical works across solar PV, BESS, and substations in a hybrid Nottinghamshire setting. The role focuses on managing programmes, cost, quality and safety, coordinating subcontractors and client reps, and ensuring design compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience managing electrical works on renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.
• Background in utility-scale solar PV, BESS, substations or grid connections.
• Knowledge of HV infrastructure, including 33kV and 132kV systems.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors and site-based teams.
• Strong understanding of project programmes, documentation and H&S.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical works across solar PV, BESS and substation infrastructure.
• Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and client representatives.
• Oversee programme, project progress, costs and quality.
• Ensure works comply with design specifications, H&S requirements and relevant standards.
• Coordinate with design and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues.
• Monitor installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Report on progress, risks and project delivery to senior management.
