Job summary

JL Renewable Solutions in the UK is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead HV connections, ICP and BESS projects. You will own delivery from design through energisation, coordinating design, procurement, construction and commissioning across 33kV/132kV assets.

This hybrid role requires strong commercial awareness, stakeholder management and hands-on leadership, with travel to UK sites and a clear path for career progression.

Qualifications

• Extensive HV project management experience in grid connections, substations or power distribution.
• Experience delivering 33kV and/or 132kV infrastructure projects.
• Background with ICP/EPC/DNO utilities or electrical contracting businesses.
• Strong commercial awareness including budgets, variations and cost control.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams through full project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver HV infrastructure and grid connection projects from design through energisation.
• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
• Manage site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to meet schedule and budget.
• Develop programmes, monitor delays and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure technical approvals and construction readiness.
• Identify risks and manage pre-construction and execution risks proactively.
• Maintain commercial oversight: budgets, variations, cost reporting and margins.
• Support tender reviews, contract administration and project mobilisation.
