Job summary

MK Search is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead a major HS2 infrastructure package in Birmingham. The role focuses on delivering complex electrical works safely, on time and within budget, coordinating across engineering, construction, procurement and safety teams.

You will review drawings and RAMS, manage risk and change control, and provide regular progress updates to senior management. The project requires strong leadership in a challenging rail environment.

About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a major infrastructure project supporting the delivery of HS2 in Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical professional to take responsibility for the successful delivery of complex electrical works within a major UK rail infrastructure programme.

The successful candidate will have strong project management experience within rail, infrastructure, construction, or major engineering environments, with a proven track record of delivering electrical packages safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage electrical project packages from planning and mobilisation through to completion and handover.
• Take overall responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical works, ensuring compliance with project requirements, specifications and relevant standards.
• Develop and manage project programmes, budgets, resources and delivery plans.
• Coordinate with engineering, construction, commercial, procurement, planning and health & safety teams.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and specialist electrical contractors.
• Monitor project progress, costs, risks, quality and programme performance.
• Ensure all electrical works are delivered in accordance with approved designs, specifications and project procedures.
• Review drawings, technical documentation, RAMS, ITPs and construction methodologies.
• Lead project meetings and provide regular progress updates to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, variations and opportunities.
• Ensure effective change control and commercial awareness throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain high standards of health, safety, quality and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, completion and handover activities.
• Ensure all project documentation and records are completed accurately and maintained throughout delivery
