Job summary

Russell Taylor Group is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical installations across residential and commercial projects in the North West. The role covers Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding areas, with high-rise apartment experience preferred.

You will lead on-site teams, coordinate with clients and design teams, and ensure delivery to time, budget and quality, while maintaining safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Electrical Project Manager in the UK.
• Experience with residential apartments, housing developments and commercial projects.
• Qualifications: JIB Gold Card, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition; SSSTS/CSCS desirable.

Responsibilities

• Fully manage electrical installations for new-builds, residential and commercial sites.
• Lead on-site teams, subcontractors and supervisors; manage design to handover.
• Attend client, design and progress meetings; report on progress and costs.
• Ensure on-time delivery, budget adherence and high quality standards.
• Oversee RAMS, safety compliance and regulatory requirements.
• Order materials, manage variations, control project costs.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors and internal teams.

Job description

Our client, a well-established M&E Contractor, is looking for an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee electrical installations across residential and commercial projects in the North West. This is a permanent position covering projects across Manchester, Liverpool and surrounding areas. They have a number of high rise apartment clients so would prefer experience of delivering installations on similar schemes.

The Role:

• Full project management of electrical installations for new-build apartments, residential developments, and commercial buildings
• Managing projects from initial design, procurement and costing through to installation, testing and final handover
• Leading and managing on-site electrical teams, sub-contractors and supervisors
• Attending client meetings, design team meetings and site progress meetings
• Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high quality standard
• Managing Health & Safety, RAMS, and ensuring compliance with 18th Edition and current regulations
• Ordering materials, managing variations, and controlling project costs
• Liaising with clients, main contractors and internal teams

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager / Electrical Contracts Manager within the UK
• Strong background in residential apartments, housing developments and commercial projects essential
• Electrically qualified - JIB Gold Card, NVQ Level 3, 18th Edition (2391 Test & Inspect advantageous)
• SMSTS / SSSTS and CSCS card desirable
• Excellent knowledge of electrical installation methods and UK building regulations
• Strong leadership, organisation and communication skills
• IT literate with ability to manage project documentation
• Full UK Driving Licence - travel between Manchester & Liverpool required
