Job summary

Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design and implement temporary electrical building services on major projects across the UK. You will ensure compliant design, safety, and timely handover, coordinating with the principal designer and contractor.

The role requires an electrical engineering degree or equivalent, with knowledge of CDM duties and safety standards, and offers opportunities on energy infrastructure and national-level schemes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or equivalent in electrical engineering or related field.
• Professional accreditation highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of Electrical Safe Systems of Work and CDM duties.

Responsibilities

• Create and implement temporary electrical building services design solutions.
• Ensure integration, compliance, health and safety of design for defect-free handover.
• Coordinate with Principal Designer/Contractor for information flow per CDM requirements.
• Provide design solutions for distribution, lighting, sockets, plant and equipment supplies, plus fire alarm/detection systems.
• Assist Design Managers with design/construction reviews and sign-off.
