Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Project Engineer Electrical to join the Engineering Team in a remote role with travel across the Yorkshire region. The role involves designing and delivering electrical solutions, SCADA/PLC/HMI systems, and instrumentations while ensuring compliance with standards and safety regulations.

You will lead technical and financial aspects of projects, coordinate with engineers and technicians, and support continuous development along the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Broad experience with electrical and ICA equipment to produce engineered solutions
• Possess YW Electrical Authorisation (LV)
• Experience with PLC, HMI, SCADA, Telemetry and instrumentation; change control
• Ability to highlight complex technical issues and support resolution
• Knowledge of Construction Design Management (CDM) principles
• Current driving licence and willingness to travel across Yorkshire region

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy and test electrical services including PLC/HMI/SCADA
• Lead technical and financial aspects of projects for best value
• Ensure projects meet quality, standards and specifications
• Comply with Health & Safety and CDM requirements, acting as Principal Contractor
• Oversee formal customer handover against scope
• Create and modify assets for safe, reliable operations
• Input into short and long-term strategic plans
