Job summary

CHG Electrical is seeking a proactive Field Electrical Project Engineer to support delivery across water and wastewater infrastructure projects. The role blends office and live-site activity, ensuring electrical systems are installed, tested and commissioned safely and to specification.

Based in Sheffield with UK-wide site travel, the role offers £45,000–£50,000 DOE, a car allowance/van, a performance bonus and 25 days holiday plus bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering electrical projects in water/utilities.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Knowledge of WIMES, BS 7671 and RAMS/HSE.
• Ability to interpret electrical designs and drawings.
• Comfort working on site with installation teams.

Responsibilities

• Review designs and drawings against project and client requirements.
• Coordinate electrical installation activities across site networks.
• Prepare and review RAMS; coordinate safe site activities.
• Monitor progress and resolve technical issues during delivery.
• Test, fault-find, commission and hand over completed systems.
