Job summary

Matchtech Group is seeking a Pre-Construction Engineer (Electrical) to support major water and wastewater infrastructure projects on a contract basis. You will provide electrical and MEICA input across pre-construction, shaping cost, risk, procurement and delivery plans before on-site work begins.

With strong technical leadership, you will mentor junior engineers, review design deliverables for compliance, and coordinate interfaces across civil and MEICA disciplines, ensuring governance and

Qualifications

• HNC or HND in electrical/MEICA related engineering.
• Significant experience in construction or project delivery.
• Knowledge of MEICA interfaces within large projects.
• Experience with procurement and subcontract management.

Responsibilities

• Provide input across pre-contract phase of water projects.
• Manage MEICA elements of pre-construction activities.
• Develop target costs, risk registers, procurement schedules.
• Lead and mentor Pre-Construction Engineers and Assistants
• Review design partner deliverables for compliance
• Coordinate gate stage approvals and governance
• Plan pre-construction surveys, testing and inspections
• Coordinate civil and MEICA interfaces and ensure buildability
• Manage work packages through to transition to operations
• Act as electrical Appointed Person when required
• Lead supply chain interfaces and evaluate quotations
• Provide input into programmes, collaborative planning and Temporary Works
