Job summary

Additional Resources is seeking an Electrical Assembly Technician to join their engineering team in Saltash. The role focuses on building and wiring control cabinets and panels, supporting assembly and testing of specialist machinery, and ensuring quality throughout the build process.

You will work from technical drawings, with training provided on company equipment and processes. A hands-on, detail-oriented approach and ability to meet deadlines are essential.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building and wiring electrical control cabinets, panels or industrial machinery.
• Practical experience in electrical wiring and installation.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics.
• Attention to detail and quality.
• Good computer literacy.
• Ability to meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Build and wire electrical control cabinets and panels from technical drawings.
• Carry out electrical wiring and installation on machinery and equipment.
• Assemble standard and bespoke machinery in a high-value, low-volume environment.
• Work from engineering documentation throughout the build process.
• Assist with mechanical, pneumatic and fluid system assembly.
• Support testing and commissioning of newly built equipment.
• Identify and resolve issues during builds.
• Ensure equipment meets specifications and quality standards.
• Complete build and quality documentation accurately.
• Work to project deadlines and targets.
