Overview

A Public Sector client in Berkshire is recruiting for an Electrical Operations Supervisor to join their Commercial Services team on a full-time, permanent basis. The ideal candidate will have experience within a local authority environment, particularly housing or compliance-focused roles.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the delivery of all electrical works across the housing stock, ensuring safe working practices, technical compliance, and high-quality outcomes.
• Manage a team of electrical professionals, act as a Qualified Supervisor (QS), and embed a customer-centric approach to service delivery.
• Manage and oversee electrical installations, responsive repairs, and planned works including inspection & testing, heating installations, and rewires.
• Act as Qualified Supervisor (QS), review and sign off electrical certification.
• Record and validate inspection and testing results, ensuring compliance with NICEIC standards.
• Monitor team performance and productivity, providing training and support where required.
• Ensure compliance with BS7671 and all health & safety policies and procedures.
• Lead on customer service excellence, resolving feedback and complaints effectively.
• Deputise for the Senior Electrical Operations Manager where required.

Candidate / Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation Work (or approved equivalent).
• City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations.
• Experience as a Qualified Supervisor (NICEIC, NAPIT, or equivalent).

Desirable skills

• Strong supervisory or managerial experience within electrical works.
• Experience in social housing or public sector environments.
• Full driving licence with access to own vehicle.

Salary and Benefits

The client is offering up to £49,675 per annum + comprehensive benefits.
