Job summary

YLEM Power is seeking an Electrical O&M Engineer to support a nationwide portfolio of power generation assets and customer facilities. The role focuses on safe, efficient operations, planned and reactive maintenance, and root-cause remediation.

The ideal candidate will lead fault diagnosis, maintain compliance, and develop robust electrical documentation while ensuring customer satisfaction and adherence to H&S requirements across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Extensive knowledge and experience of Electrical asset maintenance, Control Systems, and industrial Plant Commissioning.
• Experience with electrical controls from 12V DC to 415V AC 3Ø.
• Advanced fault location, system diagnosis, and remediation.

Responsibilities

• Utilise and improve operations and maintenance procedures, manuals, record keeping and stock control.
• Perform complex fault diagnosis, service, modification, replacement across generation assets.
• Interpret control logic and telemetry to resolve operational issues.
• Provide daily reports of work and observations.
• Coordinate with managers to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Develop and supervise staff to increase responsibility for electricals and control systems.
• Ensure safe, timely progress of electrical works.
• Coordinate NICEIC accreditation framework.
• Oversee Fire & Gas testing in line with regulations.
• Create fault finding and maintenance guides for electrical equipment.
• Quality control and fault reporting on installed plant.
• Supervise installation & commissioning tests and retain records.
