Job summary

NAES Corporation seeks an O&M Technician to support safe, efficient plant operation at the Peterborough Peaking Facilities in the UK. You will monitor equipment, respond to alarms, perform maintenance, and coordinate third-party contractors within RAMS and permit-to-work rules.

The role requires relevant engineering qualifications, experience in power generation or heavy industrial settings, and strong safety and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Relevant technical qualification in an engineering discipline (NVQ Level 3, ONC, HNC or equivalent).
• Experience in operations and/or mechanical maintenance within power generation or heavy industrial environments.
• Practical knowledge of plant safety rules, permit‑to‑work, isolation procedures, and LOTO practices.
• Working knowledge of UK health, safety and environmental legislation applicable to industrial environments.
• Experience coordinating or supervising third‑party contractors, suppliers and service providers.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and oversee plant operations to support safe, efficient performance and optimum asset availability.
• Carry out local operation of plant and equipment, ensuring safe and efficient performance in line with environmental requirements.
• Respond to alarms, defects and failures, assess conditions and take corrective action.
• Plan and carry out planned and corrective maintenance for safe, reliable operation.
• Utilise a CMMS to report faults, raise work requests, plan activities, and support stock control.
