Job summary

SSE is seeking an Electrical CMI Network Designer to join our project refinement team supporting the South Distribution Network. The role involves site visits, liaising with stakeholders, and producing design deliverables to SSEN Design Standards.

You will manage modifications from LV to 33kV, ensure CDM compliance and safe delivery, and travel as required with a valid driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience in design/consents/construction of LV to 33kV networks.
• HNC or above or relevant field experience.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and NRSWA code of practice.
• IOSH or similar health and safety qualification advantageous.
• Organisational skills; able to work under pressure and independently.

Responsibilities

• Make network alterations from LV cables to 33kV poles.
• Liaise with customers, land agents, local authorities; site visits.
• Identify archaeology, ecological concerns before works.
• Produce design deliverables (drawings, access packages) per SSEN standards.
• Ensure CDM compliance to reduce health and safety risks.
