1st Step Solutions Ltd is seeking an experienced MEP Supervisor/Site Manager (Electrical bias) for a 12+ month project in Southampton. You will liaise with site teams, coordinate MEP trades, and manage electrical issues while ensuring safety and compliance on site.

The role requires strong people management, reporting, and the ability to lead subcontractors, maintain paperwork, and meet project timelines. A Tier 1 contractor background is preferred.

Formación

• Experience with Tier 1 M&E Contractors in a client-facing role.
• Electrical engineering qualification (City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• CSCS Gold Card with 18th Edition.
• SSSTS/SMSTS certification.
• Strong literacy and communication skills.
• Proactive, well-organised, and deadline-driven.
• Excellent people management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate with colleagues on timeframes and labour requirements.
• Support mechanical compliance and coordinate MEP works with trades.
• Respond to electrical issues as they occur.
• Gather information about the electrical installation and potential issues.
• Oversee direct labour or electrical subcontractors.
• Complete site safety audits and electrical completion paperwork.
• Ensure safety rules are followed by subcontractors.
• Ensure paperwork is completed and records maintained.
• Daily reporting on site issues and progression.
• Assist teams in resolving matters and implement countermeasures.
• Maintain materials, stock and timely delivery to minimise disruptions.
• Maintain health and safety systems including risk assessments and toolbox talks.
