Job summary

A-SAFE UK is seeking a Shift Maintenance Engineer to keep our manufacturing operations safe, reliable and productive. You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose faults and minimise downtime across the site.

The role requires a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent, with electrical and mechanical capability. You will work with Maintenance, Operations and external contractors, contributing to continuous improvements and installations.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installations or equivalent
• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing environments
• Apprentice-trained engineering background or equivalent training
• Confident fault-finding, repairs and planned maintenance in production
• Strong commitment to safe maintenance practices and procedures

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across manufacturing equipment and facilities, safely and to a high standard
• Respond quickly to production breakdowns, diagnose faults and restore equipment
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and close work orders in the maintenance system
• Apply electrical and mechanical knowledge when fault-finding and maintaining plant
• Perform daily and weekly safety and compliance checks
• Support equipment improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency
• Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
• Work at height within the automated warehouse under trained safety controls
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations and Production teams to resolve issues
