Job summary

Hudson Shribman is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician/Engineer to provide hands-on, first-line maintenance support across its manufacturing facility. The role covers electrical maintenance, machinery breakdowns, planned maintenance and general facilities support.

You will diagnose faults, read schematics, and carry out planned maintenance while coordinating with contractors and ensuring safety compliance across the site.

Qualifications

• Qualified electrical maintenance professional with factory experience.
• Experience maintaining industrial/manufacturing machinery.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills on electrical systems.
• Hands-on, practical approach with a readiness to support multiple trades.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line electrical maintenance and breakdown support across the factory.
• Diagnose and repair basic electrical faults on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Fault-find on motors, drives, relays, sensors and electrical control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance.
• Maintain CNC machinery, production equipment and general factory plant.
• Support basic mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance where appropriate.
• Maintain building services, fire/security systems and general site facilities.
• Use the CMMS system to record maintenance and planned work.
• Identify more complex machinery faults and liaise with manufacturers and contractors.
• Manage contractors, permits and RAMS where required.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.

An established specialist manufacturing company is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer to provide hands-on, first-line maintenance support across its manufacturing facility.

This is a varied role covering electrical maintenance, machinery breakdowns, planned maintenance and general facilities support.

The Role

What We're Looking For

You will be a suitably qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician / Engineer with practical maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.

You should have:

• Good electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing machinery.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and breakdowns.
• The technical knowledge to recognise when a fault requires specialist manufacturer support.
• Some mechanical maintenance knowledge would be useful but is not essential.
