Job summary

Hudson Shribman seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician / Engineer to provide hands-on, first-line maintenance across its London manufacturing facility. The role covers electrical maintenance, machinery breakdowns, planned maintenance and general facilities support.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance in manufacturing/production environments.
• Good fault-finding and repair skills on industrial machinery.
• Experience with motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings/schematics.
• Hands-on, practical maintenance approach; know when to escalate.
• Optional mechanical maintenance knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line electrical maintenance and breakdown support across the factory.

• Read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance.

• Support basic mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic maintenance where appropriate.
• Maintain building services, fire/security systems and general site facilities.
• Use the CMMS system to record maintenance and planned work.
• Identify more complex machinery faults and liaise with equipment manufacturers and contractors.
• Manage contractors, permits and RAMS where required.
• Ensure maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with Health & Safety requirements.

An established specialist manufacturing company is looking for an Electrical Maintenance Technician / Electrical Maintenance Engineer to provide hands-on, first-line maintenance support across its manufacturing facility.

What We’re Looking For

You will be a suitably qualified Electrical Maintenance Technician / Engineer with practical maintenance experience gained within a manufacturing, engineering or production environment.

You should have:

• Good electrical fault-finding and repair skills.
• Experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing machinery.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, sensors and electrical control systems.
• Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics.
• A practical, hands-on approach to maintenance and breakdowns.
• The technical knowledge to recognise when a fault requires specialist manufacturer support.
• Some mechanical maintenance knowledge would be useful but is not essential.

This would suit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Electrician, Electrical Engineer or Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking for a varied, hands-on manufacturing maintenance role.
