Job summary

Nestlé Dalston Factory in Cumbria seeks a Lead Technician to join the maintenance team on a state‑of‑the‑art PLC‑controlled beverage line. You will lead the engineering shift, prioritise work to minimise downtime, and optimise resources to support continuous production.

You will develop maintenance methodologies, contribute to CAPEX projects, and align with Health & Safety. NVQ Level 3 in Engineering and a time‑served apprenticeship are preferred, with Nestlé supporting ongoing capability growth.

Qualifications

• Experience with asset maintenance management and capital expenditure projects.
• Familiarity with Lean/TPM principles and continuous improvement.
• Experience leading engineering shift teams and prioritising maintenance work.

Responsibilities

• Manage existing assets through planned and reactive maintenance and contribute to annual maintenance budget.
• Develop maintenance methodologies and build competencies within the team.
• Define and adhere to standards in collaboration with Factory Engineering, production, and site Health & Safety teams.
