Job summary

BRUSH Group is seeking an Electrical/Multiskilled Technician to ensure equipment, machinery, and systems operate reliably in a heavy industrial environment. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, mechanical and other technical issues, and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

The role requires adherence to health and safety guidelines, operating safe systems of work for high and medium voltage, and collaboration with maintenance teams to keep production running

Qualifications

• Electrical/ Multiskilled apprenticeship
• NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification
• A minimum of four year’s experience required in Electrical/ Multiskilled maintenance role
• Able to work with company’s rules and guidance notes on health and safety, including operation of safe systems of work in relation to high voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and work in a heavy industrial environment.
• Adaptable and effective Electrical/ Multiskilled Technician
• Excellent communication skills
• Attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems in a manufacturing and commercial setting.
• Perform repairs on equipment including Vacuum plants, Oil processing equipment, FLTs, compressed air systems, lighting and production machinery.
• Conduct emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Execute routine maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and legal compliance.
• Inspect equipment and systems regularly for signs of wear or malfunction.
• Install new equipment and systems according to technical manuals and safety guidelines.
• Assist with upgrading or retrofitting existing equipment to improve performance or meet new operational needs.
