Job summary

BRUSH Group is seeking a dedicated Electrical/Multiskilled Technician to join our maintenance team in a heavy industrial setting. You will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and perform preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

With an Electrical/Multiskilled apprenticeship and NVQ3 or City & Guilds, you’ll work under safe systems of work, follow health and safety guidelines, and contribute to continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Electrical/ Multiskilled apprenticeship or equivalent.
• NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification.
• Minimum four years' experience in Electrical/ Multiskilled maintenance role.
• Ability to follow health and safety rules and operate safe systems of work in high/medium voltage environments.
• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform repairs on equipment including Vacuum plants, Oil processing equipment, FLTs, compressed air systems, lighting and production machinery.
• Conduct emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Execute routine maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance and legal compliance.
• Install new equipment and assist with upgrading or retrofitting existing equipment.

What's the role?

To ensuring that equipment, machinery, and systems operate effectively and efficiently in the manufacturing and commercial environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform repairs on a wide range of equipment, including Vacuum plants, Oil processing equipment, FLTs, Compressed air systems, Lighting and production machinery.
• Conduct emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Execute routine maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of equipment and legal compliance.
• Inspect equipment and systems regularly for signs of wear or malfunction.
• Install new equipment and systems according to technical manuals and safety guidelines.
• Assist with upgrading or retrofitting existing equipment to improve performance or meet new operational needs.

What we're looking for:

• Electrical/ Multiskilled apprenticeship
• NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification
• A minimum of four year's experience required in Electrical/ Multiskilled maintenance role
• Able to work with company's rules and guidance notes on health and safety, including operation of safe systems of work in relation to high voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and work in a heavy industrial environment.
