Job summary

BRUSH Transformers in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Electrical/Multiskilled Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain electrical and mechanical systems in a heavy industrial setting. You will perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and timely emergency repairs to minimise downtime.

The role requires an Electrical/Multiskilled apprenticeship with NVQ3/ONC/City & Guilds qualification and a minimum of four years in a maintenance role.

Qualifications

• Electrical/ Multiskilled apprenticeship completed
• NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification achieved
• 4+ years in Electrical/ Multiskilled maintenance

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Repair a wide range of equipment including Vacuum plants, Oil processing equipment, FLTs, compressed air systems, lighting and production machinery.
• Perform emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Run routine maintenance schedules for optimal performance and safety compliance.
• Inspect equipment regularly for wear or malfunction.
• Install new equipment and systems per manuals and safety guidelines.
• Assist with upgrading or retrofitting existing equipment to meet new needs.

What's the role?

To ensuring that equipment, machinery, and systems operate effectively and efficiently in the manufacturing and commercial environment. This role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical, mechanical and other technical issues, as well as performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Perform repairs on a wide range of equipment, including Vacuum plants, Oil processing equipment, FLTs, Compressed air systems, Lighting and production machinery.
• Conduct emergency repairs to minimise production downtime.
• Execute routine maintenance schedules to ensure optimal performance of equipment and legal compliance.
• Inspect equipment and systems regularly for signs of wear or malfunction.
• Install new equipment and systems according to technical manuals and safety guidelines.
• Assist with upgrading or retrofitting existing equipment to improve performance or meet new operational needs.

What we're looking for:

• Electrical/ Multiskilled apprenticeship
• NVQ3, ONC or City & Guilds qualification
• A minimum of four year’s experience required in Electrical/ Multiskilled maintenance role
• Able to work with company’s rules and guidance notes on health and safety, including operation of safe systems of work in relation to high voltage and medium voltage electrical systems and work in a heavy industrial environment.
