Job summary

Anglian Water is seeking an Electrician to join our Colchester team in Essex. This permanent on-site role offers 40.25 hours per week with a circa £57,000 package including a 15% shift allowance and overtime opportunities for progression as you train up to £65,619.

You will carry out repairs, fault diagnosis and scheduled maintenance to safeguard our assets, environment and customers. A full UK driving licence is required, with opportunities for skills development and a supportive, inclusive

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification or equivalent.
• 18th Edition electrical knowledge (City & Guilds Level 3) or equivalent.
• Demonstrable inspections, maintenance and fault diagnosis on large electrical assets.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs, investigate faults and complete scheduled maintenance to ensure asset reliability.
• Work with a collaborative team to protect the environment and customers.
• Develop experience with electrical control panels, motor testing, level control equipment, instrumentation, inverters, gearboxes, conveyors and related equipment.

Role Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs, investigate and rectify faults, and complete scheduled and reactive maintenance to ensure reliability of our assets
• The role is not just about doing a job, it has a real purpose; it’s about protecting our environment and our customers
• With support from a collaborative team you will develop your commercial and industrial experience with assets such as electrical control panels, motor testing, level control equipment and instrumentation, inverters, and working on/around gearboxes, screw conveyers and centrifuge equipment

Qualifications and Requirements

• An NVQ level3 electrical qualification (or equivalent), 18th Edition electrical City & Guilds level3 or equivalent Industrial/Commercial experience required and completed a relevant apprenticeship
• A full UK driving licence is also essential
• Demonstrable experience in completing inspections, maintenance and fault diagnosis, and competent in undertaking repairs to large pumps, actuated valves, VSD and 3-phase electrical switchgear
