Job summary

Anglian Water Services is seeking an Electrical Asset Technician to wire, install, maintain and monitor electric equipment in our water treatment and distribution works across Grimsby, Brigg and Humber regions.

You will calibrate analytical equipment, investigate asset trends and support internal and contractor teams. The role requires an electrical apprenticeship, strong safety mindset and willingness to work standby and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

  • Completed an electrical apprenticeship.
  • Strong health & safety focus.
  • Industrial electrical experience.
  • Ability to work standby-by and overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Wiring, installing and maintaining the electrical equipment used to treat and distribute water.
  • Calibrating and maintaining analytical equipment.
  • Investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions.
  • Assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams.
  • Use electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
  • React to technical issues to maintain water supply.

Permanent, Full time, 37 hours p/w, with flexibility for part time

Key responsibilities:

You’ll be responsible for wiring, installing, maintaining and controlling the high diversity of electrical equipment necessary to treat and distribute water.

This includes:

  • Calibrating and maintaining technical analytical equipment
  • Investigate asset trends and carry out electrical interventions
  • Assist electrical framework contractors and internal high voltage, optimisation and automation teams
  • Utilise electrical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve issues
  • React to technical issues to maintain water supply

As well as carrying out planned & reactive maintenance on our electrical assets, you will work towards a Licence to Operate Qualification to enable you to operate and maintain water treatment assets and processes.
