Job summary

Anglian Water is hiring a Water Recycling Electrician in Bedford area to carry out general repairs, fault diagnosis and scheduled maintenance on assets such as electrical control panels, pumps and instrumentation. You’ll work with a collaborative team to protect our environment and communities.

The role requires NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent), 18th Edition Level 3, and completion of an apprenticeship, plus a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent) and 18th Edition Level 3.
• Completed a relevant apprenticeship.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Experience in inspections, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs to large pumps, actuated valves, VSD and 3-phase switchgear.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general repairs and scheduled & reactive maintenance to ensure asset reliability.
• Investigate and rectify faults affecting electrical equipment and pumps.
• Work with control panels, instrumentation and related gear.

£45,760 starting salary, plus overtime and standby, with opportunity for pay progression up to £60,000 Basic

Business use of company van, tools and PPE equipment

Permanent, Full Time 37 hours p/w, with flexibility for part time

Location: Bedford, St Neots and surrounding areas

Get ready to make a difference and join us as a Water Recycling Electrician at Anglian Water. You’ll be responsible for carrying out general repairs, investigating and rectifying faults and completing scheduled & reactive maintenance to ensure the reliability of our assets. This role is not just about doing a job, it has a real purpose; it’s about protecting our environment and our customers.

With support from a collaborative team, you will develop your commercial and industrial experience with assets such as: electrical control panels, motor testing, level control equipment and instrumentation, inverters, as well as working on/around gearboxes, screw conveyers and centrifuge equipment. This role is vital and will have a direct impact on the environment and communities that we serve.

What does it take to be an electrician?

• An NVQ level 3 electrical qualification (or equivalent), 18th Edition electrical City & Guilds level 3 or equivalent

• And have completed a relevant apprenticeship.

• A full UK driving licence is also essential.

• You will have demonstrable experience in completing inspections, maintenance and fault diagnosis, being competent undertaking repairs to large pumps, actuated valves, VSD and 3-phase electrical switchgear.
