Job summary

TipTopJob in Wales is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their highly skilled team. You will work on site, supporting multiskilled technicians across various shift patterns to maintain and improve plant reliability.

The role emphasizes safety, HV switchgear, motors and drives, and energy efficiency projects, with clear pathways to progression into management and access to an extensive training scheme. A strong pension and bonus scheme are in place, with overtime available.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical control systems and hardware.
• AC/DC motors and drives experience.
• PLC fault finding experience.
• Strong project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain safety.

Responsibilities

• Ensure adherence to safety and environmental standards.
• Provide hands-on support to multiskilled technicians across shifts.
• Maintain site services including HV switchgear and compressors.
• Manage technical aspects of projects (design, planning, delivery).
• Support maintenance metrics: PMs, downtime, MTTR improvements.
• Lead lean/continuous improvement initiatives (5 Why, FMEA).
• Identify actions to minimise energy and maintenance spend.
• Implement innovative solutions to maintenance challenges.
