Job summary

Joseph Hughes Associates is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a days-based role near Ystrad Mynach in South Wales. This senior, hands-on position requires a strong electrical bias with mechanical skills and a flexible team-working approach.

You will lead routine and planned maintenance, drive process improvements and troubleshoot problems across a manufacturing environment. PLC knowledge is essential and apprenticeship training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience as electrical-biased, multi-skilled maintenance engineer in manufacturing.
• Senior level role with autonomous responsibilities and a flexible hands-on approach.
• Electrical knowledge with PLC familiarity; PLC experience advantageous.
• Apprentice-trained with extensive engineering experience in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Lead routine and planned electrical maintenance and inspections.
• Drive process improvements and resolve complex electrical issues.
• Support jig building and tool sharpening for press tools.
• Hands-on maintenance across a varied manufacturing environment.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

£40-44,000+ Very Dep on experience Days role

A rare opportunity to join a well established International Manufacturer based near Ystrad Mynach

You will be an experienced Electrical biased multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer and be living in South Wales

This is a days role no shifts and early finish on Fridays

This is a senior level role, you will be a very experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with mechanical skills and a flexible team working hands on approach in this very varied and autonomous role. A stable work history is essential

PLC experience would be an advantage

The company is progressive with a strong order book and £turnover has increased substantially in recent years

All aspects Electrical Maintenance

Routine maintenance inspections and Planned maintenance

You will lead Process improvements and have excellent problem solving skills

A machine shop background would be great

Jig building and Tool sharpening (Press tools and turret punch)

Electrical knowledge including PLC knowledge is essential

You will ideally be Apprentice trained with extensive experience of working in an Engineering role in a manufacturing organisation

The Maintenance Engineer will be able to travel to work from Pontypridd, Caerphilly, Cardiff, Merthyr, Pontypool, Llantrisant, Ebbw Vale, Merthyr, Cewmbran
