Job summary
R&A Consultants Ltd. is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join the on-site engineering team at a static commercial building in Wetherby.
The role offers a £42,000 per annum base salary, overtime opportunities, and dedicated High Voltage training. You will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring safety, compliance, and reliability of electrical systems.
Qualifications
- City & Guilds / NVQ qualification in an electrical discipline.
- 18th Edition qualification.
- Proven experience in commercial building services or facilities maintenance.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Understanding of electrical distribution with HV/LV switching is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance across the commercial building.
- Fault-find and repair electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency lighting, control panels, and associated building services.
- Assist with High Voltage and Low Voltage switching duties, following site procedures and safety protocols.
- Complete routine inspections and preventative maintenance to keep systems safe, compliant and operational.
- Respond to breakdowns and maintenance requests, diagnosing and resolving faults efficiently.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure works comply with health & safety and regulatory requirements.
