Job summary

SRG are currently recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a successful and growing client based in Horsham, West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and improving plant performance, ensuring operational efficiency and high engineering standards within a fast-paced industrial environment.

This is a permanent role with a 4 on/4 off shift (2 days, 2 nights). Hours are 06:30 – 18:30 / 18:30 – 06:30.

Qualifications

Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent).
Strong experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automated environments.
Competent in fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance.
Ideally familiar with PLC fault finding (any platform), MCC panel layouts, control and instrumentation systems, 18th Edition (BS7671) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance.
Diagnose and repair faults across electrical systems, including sensors, relays, and contactors, AC/DC motors, control panels and MCCs.
Work with PLC systems, with Siemens S7 experience preferred.
Support plant availability, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform electrical fault finding and interpret technical drawings.
Contribute to engineering improvements and project work.
