Electrical Maintenance Engineer - 4 On/4 Off Shift

Job summary

SRG are recruiting for an Electrical Maintenance Technician for a shift role based in Horsham, West Sussex. You will maintain and improve plant performance in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key tasks include PPM, fault finding and repair of electrical systems (sensors, relays, motors, MCCs) and PLCs (Siemens S7 preferred). 4 on/4 off shift pattern with 06:30–18:30 and 18:30–06:30 hours.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (HNC or equivalent)
• Strong experience in industrial, manufacturing, or automated environments
• Competent in fault finding, diagnostics, and maintenance
• Ideally familiar with PLC fault finding (any platform)
• Familiar with MCC panel layouts
• Control and instrumentation systems
• 18th Edition (BS7671) is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance
• Diagnose and repair faults across electrical systems, including sensors, relays, and contactors
• AC/DC motors
• Control panels and MCCs
• PLC systems (Siemens S7 experience preferred)
• Support plant availability, reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform electrical fault finding and interpret technical drawings
• Work with controls and instrumentation, including temperature, pressure, and flow systems
• Maintain high standards of health & safety, compliance, and housekeeping
• Ensure all incidents, accidents, and near misses are reported promptly
• Contribute to engineering improvements and project work
