As a permanent Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will join our valued team at the Warrington bitumen manufacturing plant. Your role will support the Engineering department in maintaining and repairing all electrical/control equipment within the production unit, while adhering to all Health and Safety policies.
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will examine structures and equipment within buildings or the plant, report defects, perform legislative checks, and maintain records. You will supervise scheduled servicing and breakdown repairs, following all risk assessments and procedures. Your duties will include maintaining electrical equipment, assembling electrical systems, troubleshooting production breakdowns, modifying plant, calibrating instrumentation, and applying logical problem-solving techniques to identify and rectify issues.
You will work with equipment such as pedestal drills, grinders, welding equipment, and portable powered tools. You will also assist with mechanical repairs across the business when required.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in a similar role or hold a Level 3 (or higher) Certificate of Technical Education in the field. You should be a team player with strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and possess an understanding of PLCs and controlled equipment.
