Job summary

Proactive Personnel Ltd in Telford is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to provide electrical breakdown support on automated equipment and maintain production assets on days.

You will drive improvements, perform electrical fault diagnosis, install new machinery and work with a high-performance team to minimise downtime.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing/production environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and under pressure.
• Excellent electrical fault diagnosis skills and willingness to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Improve equipment performance and support preventive maintenance (PPM).
• Provide electrical and mechanical breakdown support to minimise downtime in production.
• Participate in implementing improvements and ensuring safe operation of plant equipment.
• Install new machinery and control panels as required.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Telford

Days Monday to Friday

£48,000

JOB OUTLINE

The successful Electrical Maintenance Engineer will provide electrical breakdown cover on automated fast-moving equipment as well as the service and repair of production equipment in line with FMCG policies and safe working procedures.

THE ROLE:

• Continuous improvement of equipment, supporting PPM activities to a high standard
• Provide day-to-day electrical and mechanical breakdown support for the production team, ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum
• An active position in generating ideas for improvement, whilst ensuring current plant/equipment is maintained to a high standard
• Electrical fault-finding to a high level
• Installation of new machinery and control panels.

THE CANDIDATE:

• Strong Electrical Maintenance Experience within a manufacturing/production environment
• Experience in fast-paced working environment essential
• A team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure.
• Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology.
• Excellent electrical fault diagnosis skills
• Formal qualifications to NVQ, C&G or ONC, HNC desirable
• PLC/Automation experience desirable but not essential
• Time served apprenticeship in electrical discipline advantageous
