Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment is seeking a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias for a manufacturing site in Telford. You will join an experienced maintenance team, ensuring machinery runs safely and efficiently, with ongoing training and opportunities to develop across electrical, mechanical, automation, and PLC-controlled systems.

Qualifications

• Electrical bias and maintenance experience in manufacturing or production machinery.
• Commutable to Telford and able to work a Monday–Friday shift.

Responsibilities

• Planned preventative maintenance and fault finding on electrical and mechanical systems.
• Repair work to minimise production downtime on motors, drives, conveyors, sensors, and control panels.
• Record maintenance activity and report recurring faults or equipment concerns.

£35,000 + Overtime + Progression

On offer is the opportunity to join an established manufacturing business where you will work as part of an experienced maintenance team, supporting production by keeping machinery, plant, and equipment running safely and efficiently. You will receive ongoing training and have the chance to develop your skills across electrical, mechanical, automation, and PLC-controlled systems.

In this varied role, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, fault find on electrical and mechanical systems, and carry out repairs to minimise production downtime. You will work on motors, drives, conveyors, sensors, rollers, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, control panels, inverters, and automated machinery, while recording maintenance activity and reporting recurring faults or equipment concerns.

This role would suit a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias who is looking for a Monday to Friday role, overtime, training, and the chance to develop within a manufacturing environment.

The Role:

• Planned preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs, and fault finding on machinery
• Electrical and mechanical maintenance across
• Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:15pm or 8:00am - 4:15pm, with and overtime available

The Person:

• Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, Electrical Maintenance Engineer, or similar
• Electrically biased with manufacturing or production maintenance experience
• Commutable to Telford
