Job summary

ADR Specialists Ltd in the Wrexham area is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer with a strong background in food/FMCG engineering. You will work in a fast-paced environment, repairing process equipment and plant machinery, with an electrical bias and solid mechanical aptitude.

Key duties include PLC fault finding (not coding), responding to breakdowns, carrying out planned inspections and proactive maintenance, and following site H&S procedures.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Food/FMCG engineering.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing environments.
• Accustomed to hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• PLC fault finding (not coding).

Responsibilities

• Repair process equipment and plant machinery in partnership with Engineering Manager, production staff and technicians.
• Perform PLC fault finding (not coding) and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues.
• Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance; perform planned inspection routes.
• Carry out proactive maintenance and follow site H&S procedures.

Job Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Food/FMCG engineering and be accustomed to fast paced environments.

• Work in partnership with the Engineering Manager, production staff and technicians to carry out repairs to process equipment and plant machinery.
• PLC Fault Finding (not coding).
• Electrically biased but mechanical aptitude also required.
• Responding to break downs and reactive maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and practical fault finding on plant and mechanical/electrical machinery.
• Carry out planned inspection routes on process plant and proactive maintenance schedules.
• Following site H&S procedures and reporting any risks via the internal reporting process.

Person Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Time served engineer, preferably from the Food/FMCG Industry
• Recognised Engineering qualification e.g. HNC/HND/ONC/OND
• Accustomed to fast paced and challenging working environments
• Working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics
• Working experience within highly automated environments
