Job summary

Our client near Desford, a UK leading manufacturer, is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a brand new site. The role offers a basic salary of £58,000+ with a performance bonus and overtime paid at premium rates.

4 on, 4 off shift pattern is in place, with Siemens PLC S7 training provided. Key responsibilities include proactive and reactive maintenance, PPM schedules, and fault finding on electrical systems and PLCs.

• Experience in plant-wide electrical maintenance in manufacturing.

Job description

Our client is a UK leading manufacturer with multiple sites across the UK and is looking to extend their engineering division with an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at their brand new manufacturing sites near Desford.

The basic salary is £58,000+ plus a performance bonus, and overtime is paid at a premium of 1.5× to 2×. The shift pattern is 4 on, 4 off (5:30‑18:00 / 17:30‑06:00).

Roles and Responsibilities

• Responsible for plant‑wide proactive and reactive electrical maintenance activities to ensure optimum performance of the factory.
• Carry out PPM schedules and reactive maintenance activities as required.
• Perform work on all electrical elements such as motors, inverters, safety circuits, and basic fault finding on PLCs. Extensive training will be provided on Siemens PLC S7 TIA Portal systems.

To Be Successful As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Hold Electrical Vocational and Technical qualifications: City & Guilds Level 3 AND BTEC Level 3 or higher with NVQ Level 3, or be apprentice trained to level 3 or equivalent.
• Have strong planned and reactive electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer.
