Job summary

Omega, a global manufacturer, seeks an Electrical Engineer - Maintenance for a permanent role in Derbyshire. The position offers a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday with an 8-hour shift rotation, on-site, within an established engineering team.

You will deliver planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production and support a high-standard manufacturing environment. Key duties include leading electrical and instrumentation tasks, repairing faults with a CMMS, and

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in an electrical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
• Manufacturing industry experience, ideally process and packaging.
• PLC experience preferred.
• Proactive fault-finding with a commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
• Lead electrical and instrumentation, repairs, and work with a CMMS.
• Diagnose, resolve and eliminate root causes of electrical faults.
• Design, trial and implement minor equipment modifications to increase performance.
• Complete scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance.
• Contribute to planning and implementing annual equipment overhauls.

Key Responsibilities – Electrical Engineer - Maintenance

• Your new challenge will be providing effective and efficient planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
• Leading electrical and instrumentation, repair, and working with a CMMS.
• Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of electrical engineering faults
• Design, trial, and implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance
• Completion of all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive and improvement maintenance as allocated.
• Contribute to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.

Qualifications & Requirements – Electrical Engineer - Maintenance
