Job summary

E3 Recruitment is assisting a UK leading manufacturer near Desford to recruit an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for their brand new site. You will perform proactive and reactive electrical maintenance across the plant, including motors, inverters, safety circuits and PLC fault finding.

The basic salary is £58K+ with a performance bonus (OTE £65K+), overtime premiums, and a strong focus on training and development. A generous pension and holidays are included, with 4 On/4 Off shifts.

Qualifications

• City and Guilds Level 3 and BTEC Level 3 or NVQ Level 3, or apprentice trained to level 3.
• Strong planned and reactive electrical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Experience with motors, inverters, safety circuits and PLC fault finding.

Responsibilities

• Carry out plant-wide proactive and reactive electrical maintenance to keep the factory performing.
• Carry out PPM schedules and reactive maintenance as required.
• Work on electrical elements such as motors, inverters, safety circuits and PLCs.

Job description

Our client is a UK leading manufacturer with multiple sites across the UK, and they are now looking to extend their engineering division with an Electrical Maintenance Engineer at their brand new manufacturing sites close to the area of Desford.

The basic salary is £58K+ plus performance bonus, plus overtime paid at a premium of x1.5 / x2. The shift pattern is 4 On, 4 Off (5:30 -18:00 / 17:30-06:00).

Roles and Responsibilities of an Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Responsible for plant wide proactive and reactive electrical maintenance activities to ensure optimum performance of the factory.
• Carry out PPM schedules and reactive maintenance activities as required.
• Carry out work on all electrical elements such as motors, inverters, safety circuits, performing basic fault finding on PLC’s etc.

To Be Successful as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer

You will need to hold the following electrical vocational and technical qualifications to be considered: City and Guilds Level 3 AND BTEC Level 3 or higher with NVQ Level 3, or be apprentice trained to level 3 or equivalent. Strong planned and reactive electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer is also required.
