Job summary

[Unknown] is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to support the new site near Desford. The role covers proactive and reactive electrical maintenance across site processes, with PPM schedules and PLC fault finding, plus training on Siemens TIA Portal.

The package includes a base salary of £58,000 with a performance bonus (OTE £65,000+), premium overtime and a strong development programme. Shifts are 4 on/4 off, with pension and generous holiday.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds Level 3 or higher with NVQ Level 3, or Apprenticeship Level 3 or equivalent.
• Strong experience in planned and reactive electrical maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant-wide proactive and reactive electrical maintenance to optimise factory performance.
• Carry out PPM schedules and reactive maintenance activities as required.
• Maintain electrical elements such as motors, inverters, safety circuits; perform basic fault finding on PLCs.
• Undergo training on Siemens PLCS7 TIA Portal systems and participate in up-skilling opportunities.

Job description

Our client is a UK leading manufacturer with multiple sites across the UK, including a brand new manufacturing site near Desford. This role will support the electrical maintenance team at the new site.

Base Salary: £58,000 plus a performance bonus (OTE £65,000+). Overtime is paid at a premium of x1.5/x2. Shift pattern: 4 On, 4 Off (5:30‑18:00 / 17:30‑06:00). The company offers a pension up to 10%, generous holiday allowance, and an extensive training & development programme.
