Job summary

Omega Resource Group is seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer to join its manufacturing site near Crewe. You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance on a range of production equipment, diagnose faults, and minimise downtime.

The role offers a base salary of £55,100 with premium overtime, leading benefits, and OTE up to £60k in a stable, long-term manufacturing environment with strong progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrical fault finding and repairs on production machinery.
• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response.
• Working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Assisting with equipment upgrades and reliability improvements.
• Liaising effectively with production and engineering teams.

The Role - Electrical Maintenance Engineer

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will support production by carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities across a varied manufacturing plant.

You will diagnose faults, minimise downtime and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.

Role Duties include Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• Electrical fault finding and repairs on production machinery

• Working with electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems

Role Requirements - Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Applications are welcomed from electrically qualified engineers with experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

You may hold:

• NVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering
• City & Guilds Electrical Qualifications
• ONC/HNC/HND Engineering preferred
• 18th Edition preferred
• Apprenticeship

Experience of the following would be advantageous:

• PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Variable Speed Drives (VSDs)
• Industrial electrical systems
• Hydraulics and pneumatics
• Mechanical maintenance and fitting
• Continuous process or high-volume manufacturing environments
