Aspion is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our site in Poynton, Stockport. The role covers electrical maintenance, fault diagnosis, testing and inspection, plus general site and facilities upkeep.

The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, relevant qualifications and a hands-on approach to maintenance work. A driving licence and flexibility for call-outs are required.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in electrical installation/maintenance.
• Electrical maintenance experience with fault finding and testing.
• Proficiency with Word and Excel for reporting and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and complete repairs.
• Conduct electrical testing, inspection and PAT testing.
• Support general site maintenance and facilities duties.
• Maintain and repair site equipment and assets.
• Complete reports and safety documentation.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Location: Poynton, Stockport

Salary: £36,000 per annum

Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm (37.5 hours per week)

The Role:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established business based in Poynton, Stockport.

This is a varied position involving electrical maintenance, fault finding, testing and inspection, alongside general site and facilities maintenance.

The successful candidate will have a strong electrical background, relevant qualifications and a hands‑on approach to maintenance work.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the site.
• Diagnose electrical faults, troubleshoot issues and complete repairs.
• Conduct electrical testing, inspection and PAT testing.
• Support general site maintenance, including facilities and handyman duties.
• Maintain and repair site equipment, machinery and assets.
• Complete maintenance reports, inspection records and safety documentation.
• Use maintenance management systems to record completed work.
• Ensure all work complies with relevant health and safety regulations.
• Assist with occasional call-outs and additional maintenance requirements.

Essential Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation/Maintenance or equivalent qualification.
• Proven electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• IPAF License.
• EET / PAT Testing qualification or training.
• Experience carrying out general maintenance and facilities duties.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Full UK Driving License.
• Flexibility to support occasional call-outs.

Desirable Experience

• City & Guilds 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.
• Previous experience within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Welding experience or relevant certification.
• Experience using Atlas or similar maintenance management systems.
