Job summary

Marshalls plc in Keele, Cheshire, is recruiting an Electrical Maintenance Engineer on a continental shift (4 on/4 off) from 6:30am to 6:30pm. The role focuses on keeping the production line running, fault-finding quickly, and performing both planned and reactive maintenance.

You will work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems and may use PLC/VSD knowledge to optimise equipment performance. Shift allowances apply with overtime and benefits.

Qualifications

  • Electrical qualifications and hands-on experience with electrical fault finding.
  • Experience with planned and reactive maintenance on industrial equipment.
  • Ability to interrogate maintenance problems and provide clear plant condition information.
  • Knowledge of PLC and variable speed drives is advantageous.
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure continuous running of the production process by fault finding and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain equipment including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.
  • Carry out planned and reactive engineering activities on site.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Working a continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm
Keele, Cheshire
£55,176 per annum (including shift allowance) + overtime (paid at premium) + benefits

Our business is organised into three divisions: Landscape Products, Building Products and Roofing Products. We are looking to recruit an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer within Marley, our Roofing Products division, supporting the manufacture of industry-leading roofing solutions

So what's the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site.

What are the mission-critical skills?
  • Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally
  • Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent is desirable)
  • Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
  • Practical hands-on approach.
  • Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
  • Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
  • Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production
  • PLC And VSD Knowledge is advantageous
  • Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage

The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm.
