Job summary

Marshalls plc in Sandy is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to keep production running by eliminating downtime and fault finding on hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic controls. You will perform both planned and reactive maintenance on-site to support production targets.

You will work a 48-hour week with a days pattern, Monday to Thursday (10hr) and Friday (8hr). The role offers a competitive salary and benefits package, plus ongoing training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Mechanical fitting and fault finding across complex equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
  • Ability to diagnose faults safely on electrical/electronic controls.
  • Welding and fabrication skills advantageous.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance and PPM schedules.
  • Experience in medium to heavy industry and teams in a factory.
  • Awareness of health and safety standards and risk assessments.

Responsibilities

  • Keep production running by eliminating downtime through fault finding and maintenance.
  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on-site across multiple systems.
  • Work with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control equipment to support output targets.

We're looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join the team and play a key role in shaping innovative solutions and supporting our long-term success.

What's the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on-site. Working 48 hours per week, the shift pattern covers days - Monday to Thursday (10hr) and Friday (8hr).

What are the mission-critical skills?
  • Mechanical fitting with good knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes, couplings and general mechanical equipment
  • Good knowledge of Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems is essential
  • Finding and fixing faults safely and efficiently
  • Welding and fabrication skills essential
  • Routine Preventative Maintenance so an understanding of a PPM schedule is advantageous
  • Turning and milling knowledge and experience would be advantageous
  • Experience of working in a medium to heavy industry, particularly aggregates would be advantageous
  • Electrical qualifications would be advantageous
  • Working as part of a team in a busy manufacturing factory to ensure production targets are met
  • Complete risk assessments when requested.
  • Working to a high standard in health and safety, striving to make site improvements with energy, health and safety and quality
