Job summary

Marshalls plc is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our Keele site on a continental 4 on 4 off shift (6:30am–6:30pm). You’ll drive uptime by fault finding on electrical/electronic control systems and maintain hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical equipment in a busy production environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained in a similar position
• Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition) desirable
• Good understanding of health, safety and regulatory requirements
• Hands-on practical engineering approach
• Experience in electrical fault finding and routine maintenance
• Ability to diagnose maintenance problems and provide plant information
• Excellent communication with maintenance and production teams
• PLC and VSD knowledge is advantageous
• Experience with mechanical fitting, hydraulics and pneumatics advantageous

Working a continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm

£55,176 per annum (including shift allowance) + overtime (paid at premium) + benefits

Our business is organised into three divisions: Landscape Products, Building Products and Roofing Products. We are looking to recruit an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer within Marley, our Roofing Products division, supporting the manufacture of industry‑leading roofing solutions.

So what's the mission?

Your main responsibilities will be to ensure the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment. You will work on various different types of equipment including complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical/electronic control systems.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of planned and reactive engineering activities on site. The shift pattern is 4 on 4 off covering both days and nights, 6:30am to 6:30pm.

What are the mission-critical skills?

• Apprentice trained in a similar position ideally
• Electrical qualifications (C&G 2320 P1 & P2, ONC, NVQ 3, 18th Edition or equivalent is desirable)
• Good understanding of current environmental and health and safety issues and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
• Practical hands-on approach.
• Experience in electrical fault finding, defect rectification, and routine maintenance activities
• Ability to interrogate/understand maintenance problems to provide accurate plant condition information/recommendations.
• Excellent communication skills, dealing with operatives, Team leaders from both maintenance and production
• PLC And VSD Knowledge is advantageous
• Experience in mechanical fitting, hydraulics, and pneumatics will be an advantage
