On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.Kickstart Your Career as an Electrical Maintenance Apprentice at Southmead Hospital.Are you ready to learn on the job and build a future in a skilled trade?Join our team at SouthmeadHospital in Bristol as an Electrical Maintenance Apprentice on a 4 year apprenticeship programme and start your journey in a rewarding career supporting vital hospital services undertaking planned, preventative maintenance, testing, repairs, on high and low voltage systems covering a wide range of equipment, services, and buildings associated with the running of a large hospital.Salary: £12.71 p/hWhat you’ll do:Support the Estates Management in the provision of a 24 hour maintenance service within the hospital.Assist in completion of PPM’s and remedials on various electrical and mechanical hospital equipment such as, but not limited to, RCD’s, RCBO, transformers, Emergency Lighting, and Motors.Learn to maintain and repair electrical systems that keep the hospital running safely — from emergency lighting to motors and transformers.Work alongside experienced professionals, helping with planned maintenance and fixing equipment.Develop practical skills through hands‑on experience with high and low voltage systems in a real healthcare environment.Gain knowledge about important health and safety standards while providing top‑notch service to both hospital staff and patients.Take on new challenges and grow your expertise, with plenty of training and support along the way.Involves attendance at a local college one day per week with 4 days working on siteWhat we’re looking for:Minimum 4 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above including Maths, English, and Science.Great communicator and enjoy working with others.Flexible, proactive, and eager to learn new skills.Take pride in your work and can work independently when needed.
